Before you book.

Before inviting a tutor into your learning journey, get a clearer picture of their screening status. Tutor Seal’s planned independent lookup will help you check a tutor’s monthly registry screening—not just a badge on their profile.

What the seal will mean for your family

A badge is only the beginning. The independent record is what matters.

01

Check the tutor’s name

You will be able to confirm a tutor’s active status directly with Tutor Seal before booking a lesson—not just rely on a badge shown elsewhere.

02

Look for monthly screening

The Verified Member badge will mean a tutor has passed a nationwide (United States) sex offender registry search. Checks will be repeated monthly, with the last checked date on the tutor’s page.

03

Keep your own judgment in the picture

Screening is one part of choosing a tutor. Speak with the tutor, ask for references, and agree on a learning setting that works for your family. A registry search is not a guarantee of safety.

Lookup results currently shown are fictional demonstration listings. Tutor pages are available, but account creation does not verify a tutor. Screening, payments, and live verification records are not yet connected. Screening is a safety signal, not a guarantee of safety or a substitute for your own judgment.
